Have a specific JDM model in mind? We search Japanese auctions, inspect condition sheets, and buy directly to your exact specification and budget.
We arrange vessel transport to the UK and apply for your DVSA IVA test slot while the vehicle is still at sea, cutting out weeks of long DVSA waiting lists.
We handle UK customs clearance, pay duties, and arrange covered or driven transport from the port straight to our Halifax workshop.
From simple speedo conversions and rear fog light installs to temporary removal of non-compliant bull bars, wide wheels, roof racks, or non-E-marked tyres.
We thoroughly inspect the vehicle to official IVA manual standards, present it at the testing station, and resolve any minor advisory items on the spot.
Once passed, we submit all V55 paperwork and JDM heritage documentation to the DVLA, fit your new UK number plates, and deliver the car anywhere in the UK.
As much or as little help as you need
You don’t have to commit to a full package. Whether you just need a rear fog light and dual-scale speedo conversion fitted for your own test, or want us to manage the entire import from Japan, we adapt to your project.
Prepared strictly to DVSA standards
IVA tests are notoriously strict on projections, lighting angles, and tyre markings. We prepare every vehicle meticulously so it passes the first time without unnecessary re-test fees or delays..
Port collection to your driveway
Don’t worry about trade plates, port access, or trailering. We manage vehicle transport from Southampton, Felixstowe, or Newcastle straight to our workshop, and deliver it fully registered to your door.
Your questions answered
No, we don’t need the entire amount upfront, but we do require a deposit before bidding on your behalf. The deposit amount depends on the vehicle’s target value. Because winning an auction commits us financially to purchasing the vehicle in Japan, we cannot place bids without a formal financial commitment in place.
Absolutely. If you’ve imported the vehicle yourself and just need specific compliance work done before presenting it to the DVSA, we are happy to carry out individual prep jobs.
DVSA testing stations often have waiting lists stretching several weeks or months. By lodging the application as soon as the vehicle is on the water, we ensure your test slot aligns closely with its arrival at the UK port.
We temporarily swap or remove non-compliant items—such as off-road bull bars, non OEM additions, roof racks, or non-E-marked tyres—to get the vehicle through the test smoothly, restoring or replacing them legally afterward.
Once we have the IVA pass certificate (IAC), we compile and submit the full registration packet to the DVLA. First-time UK registration typically takes 2 to 3 weeks before your V5C logbook and age-related registration plates are issued.
No. As soon as the vehicle passes its IVA test and your final invoice is settled, you can take delivery or have it transported directly to your driveway. You don’t have to wait for the DVLA to issue the physical V5 document to have the car at home.
By default, our business name goes on the V5 as the first registered keeper to streamline the DVLA application process. However, if you prefer to be listed as the very first UK keeper, we can register it directly in your name—we’ll just need you to provide the relevant identification documents and proof of UK insurance beforehand.
